120 characters or less: Why we don't read as much

In our fast-paced, click-bait, 120-character type lifestyle, reading has become less of a leisure activity and at times more of a chore.

Where once a text-heavy website may have been the norm, people are less likely to invest that much time in scouring through chunks of text to find out what they need to know. With this in mind, it is becoming more and more important to be direct, succinct and concise in delivering your marketing message.

Now of course that is not to say to do away with reading altogether. The written word is one of the most powerful tools we have today, and it is in this social media age in fact that it’s been shown just how powerful words really can be.

Story-telling comes from a long-standing, valued tradition and still holds incredible value in our society, and it is interesting to see how the way we do this is constantly changing and evolving. With new design trends popping up, there are always amazing ways to present your content. Stand-out text or a graphic picture can paint a thousand words and is a super-effective way of grabbing attention from your audience, as well as presenting a strong brand for your business.
